ST. PAUL’S

Oh you
So apparently I’ve turned into an old lady. In the midst of a particularly busy deadline week, I made my excuses to leave the office at a reasonable hour for a very good reason. A celebrity organ recital.

I am not generally a fan of organ music. In fact, I don’t think I have ever chosen to listen to it, I tend to prefer a guitar or two. I am, however, a big fan of St Paul’s Cathedral. It’s my favourite building in London, with it’s huge dome that has been a constant through so much of the city’s history.
I’ve admired St Paul’s from various angles – with a cocktail in hand at Madison, with a mouthful of waffle from Heron Tower, after an afternoon of art at Tate Modern , from a boat on the Thames and from the slightly precarious Millenium Bridge. I hadn’t been inside before but found it was just as impressive. The organ playing was pretty good too!
