July has always meant summer to me; school holidays, trips to California, and later beer gardens and picnics. Moving to Sydney literally turned my world upside down (or maybe the right way up) and I am slowly getting used to the fact that July now means winter.

We started the month by buying a new Mini Cooper S to share. Sporty enough for him and fun enough for me.

A visit to our wedding venue to pick out a spot for the ceremony. The important bit.

Beautiful Palm Beach.

Long winter shadows.

Celebrating Christmas in July with good friends and Allanah’s famous rocky road.

These See’s nuts and chews travelled from the USA to the UK, then Australia via Hong Kong, they had lasted long enough.

I reluctantly shared them. What’s mine is yours and all that.

A lunchtime well spent.

I have been reading non-stop; completing my 2016 reading challenge 5 months early! Found this very Book Club appropriate card.

An old favourite necklace from Florida circa 1992.

Saturday strolls in Paddington.

Bought a Crosley, shopped for records.

I see you Bowie.

Motorbikes, beer and cake for my man flu patient.

Pretty happy about the rain when I get to wear my yellow raincoat.

Back to Deus. This time for a celebration of burgers and the most amazing chocolate mousse.

Sunday strolls and a stop off to smell the flowers.

And coffee.

Celebrating buying my wedding dress with a banoffee brewnut and flat white for one.

Wedding inspiration at The Boathouse Group fair.

More donuts. This time a Friday breakfast treat at Shortstop.

Girls night in.

Saturday morning breakfast date at Brewtown Newtown.

Magic hour in North Bondi.

Celebrating the 30th birthday of one of the best.

Feeling pretty optimistic about spring while walking home from Marrickville Market.
