The last day of August. The last day of Winter. My head is slowly adjusting to these upside down seasons, but 25 degree days in winter will always feel like a miracle.
One late summer evening in February, I met the girls at The Winery for drinks after work. I had just finished Shantaram and couldn’t help but rave about it. Talk turned to books and it prompted a group message a few days later; an invitation to create a Book Club.
Six months ago today he surprised me with a picnic of champagne and gelato under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, making me the happiest girl in the world.
Six months from now, our family and friends will be arriving in Sydney and we’ll be counting down the days until we make it official.
He inspires me everyday and I cannot wait to marry him.

We stayed home on Friday night and binge-watched our latest obsession, The Killing. We ordered the most delicious burgers and sweet potato fries from Ze Pickle and tucked into the 1.5l tub of Messina that Oliver had surprised me with for dessert.
