Following an eventful couple of months, I suppose I should have spent April suffering from some degree of post-wedding blues, but with so many happy memories to relive, and much to look forward to, there’s not much to be blue about. I won’t pretend that returning to work didn’t take a few days (a week) to get back into, but even that didn’t bring me down.
What better way to end the year than a camping trip for two?
November was a good one. On the cusp of summer with the end of the year in sight, Mum & Roy came over for a bonus visit. Very special to have them here again.
One late summer evening in February, I met the girls at The Winery for drinks after work. I had just finished Shantaram and couldn’t help but rave about it. Talk turned to books and it prompted a group message a few days later; an invitation to create a Book Club.
The winter sun was shining when we woke up on Sunday, so we jumped in the car and drove south. A former colleague of Oliver’s was opening a cafe in Berrima and it seemed like the perfect excuse to visit the Southern Highland town.
