Following an eventful couple of months, I suppose I should have spent April suffering from some degree of post-wedding blues, but with so many happy memories to relive, and much to look forward to, there’s not much to be blue about. I won’t pretend that returning to work didn’t take a few days (a week) to get back into, but even that didn’t bring me down.
February couldn’t come around quickly enough in our house! With friends and family arriving in Sydney and wedding prep kicking up a notch, I felt like we had spent January resting up and counting down the days.
December has been good to us. Busy at work for the first few weeks but rewarded with ten whole days off to end the year. Last December we drove down to Adelaide to spend Christmas with family and then roadtripped back via the Great Ocean Road. It was an awesome adventure, but after an eventful year, we were very happy to have a staycation in Sydney to recoup and relax before our wedding festivities kick off in a few weeks.
November was a good one. On the cusp of summer with the end of the year in sight, Mum & Roy came over for a bonus visit. Very special to have them here again.
A couple of weekends ago we lured Oliver’s parents and sisters to dinner at our favourite restaurant under false pretences. We had a pretty special surprise planned.
